Academics
At Al Yasat Private School, our academic framework empowers students with the skills, knowledge, and values to thrive in a global society. Through a dynamic blend of American curriculum standards and UAE national priorities, we offer a holistic, future-focused education that develops academic excellence, creativity, and responsible citizenship.
We are proud to deliver a curriculum that is both rigorous and responsive—grounded in the Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the Virginia Standards of Learning, and fully aligned with the UAE Ministry of Education's requirements for Arabic, Islamic Studies, UAE Social Studies, Moral Education, and the National Identity initiative.
Curriculum Overview by School Phase
Kindergarten (KG1–KG2)
In KG, students begin their learning journey through inquiry-led, play-based instruction that nurtures foundational literacy, numeracy, science exploration, and socio-emotional development. UAE Social Studies is integrated into daily themes, while early exposure to AI literacy, coding, and robotics builds curiosity and future-ready thinking. Continuous provision supports independent learning and language development in both English and Arabic.
Elementary School (Grades 1–5)
Our Elementary program develops students’ mastery of core subjects including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while building critical thinking and collaboration skills. Students participate in Genius Hour, a dedicated time for passion-driven, project-based exploration. By Grade 5, the Unlock and Prepare (UP) program bridges academic learning with practical problem-solving. Students also engage with coding, robotics, and environmental awareness through UAE-aligned science initiatives.
